What is a D-value?
The D-value is the fractal dimension calculated using the box-counting method. A value close to 1.0 indicates simple geometry (e.g. a smooth concrete wall), while values closer to 2.0 indicate high complexity (e.g. ornamented facades).
How do I analyse a building?
Open Fractune, point the camera at a building facade, and tap the analyse button. Make sure the facade is evenly lit and fills most of the screen for best results.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Send an email to privacy@fractune.dk with your contributor ID (found under Settings in the app). We will delete all your contributions within 30 days.
The app isn't working — what do I do?
Try restarting the app and make sure you have the latest version from the App Store. If the problem persists, contact us at support@fractune.dk with a description and your iOS version.
